Congratulations to this week’s Showcase Cinemas High School Team of the Week: La Salle Academy Boy’s Varsity Lacrosse team!

For the past six (6) years, the LaSalle Boy’s Lacrosse team has developed a relationship with the Chad Brown Alumni Association and the families they serve.  Each Christmas, the La Salle lacrosse players and their families gather toys and/or gifts to donate and distribute to families in need in the Chad Brown area of Providence.  Each year, players, coaches and community leaders meet at the Chad Brown Community Center and distribute JOY! This year due to COVID, it was different.  The team and coaches worked through a local barber shop on Smith Street, just around the corner from Chad Brown, storing the gifts to allow the community leaders to distribute them safely within COVID guidelines.  We plan on having those impacted by this partnership, celebrate by attending a game along with a barbecue during the spring/summer at LaSalle if COVID restrictions end by then!
